Aledade, a US healthcare startup, received a valuation of $3.5 billion following its most recent funding round, a source close to the business told media on Wednesday.

The startup with headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, received $260 million in the round, according to a statement from Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The fundraiser also included participation from Venrock, Avidity Partners, OMERS Growth Equity, and Fidelity Management & Research Company.

In the US, Aledade is a public benefit corporation that collaborates with general practitioners, hospitals, and clinics to create value-based healthcare initiatives.

In 2022, the startup made more than $475 million in revenue, a rise of more than 50% from the previous year. Aledade and insurance provider Humana announced a 10-year partnership earlier this year to offer value-based primary care to Humana’s Medicare Advantage members.

Due to expectations that the Federal Reserve has completed the majority of its rate hikes, venture capital fundraising in the United States has begun to accelerate along with a recovery in the public markets.

Aledade, a new primary care provider founded in 2014, keeps doctors where they want to be: developing meaningful relationships with their patients.

Independent primary care physicians can establish and manage Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) using the primary care physician platform Aledade. The platform gives access to cutting-edge technology, upfront funding, and services for business and practise transformation.

Doctors can maintain their autonomy, provide better care, cut costs, and maintain independent physician practises with the help of Adelade’s tailored solutions and ongoing support.

Aledade has expanded quickly and now collaborates with hundreds of practises serving nearly 1.7 million patients in more than 37 states. This helps to support the provision of seamless, reasonably priced, and high-quality care.

A US healthcare startup, Aledade believe that because they work in the medical field, they have a special responsibility to promote decarbonization on behalf of all patients. As a result, they feel it is their responsibility to lessen their own carbon footprint and use their influence to help the fight against climate change succeed.
