PARC To Provide Training In Tissue Culture To SAU Students

The BE program at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FAE) of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam, has been accredited at Level II by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Following the approval, the BE program of SAU has gained widespread recognition, and the university’s agriculture engineers won’t need to take courses abroad to demonstrate the value of their degree.

According to a notification, the PEC’s 108th meeting approved accreditation for the BE degree program’s level II outcome-based education system for the 2K18 batch.

According to the Washington Accord, the FAE-BE SAU’s (Agriculture) degree has grown in importance on a global scale. The accreditation team of the PEC evaluated the faculty of the SAU and, after finding it satisfactory, placed the class of the academic year 2018 in level II.

Another announcement states that the council has extended the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering’s license to operate as the Engineering Accreditation Board for the purpose of providing various training sessions, seminars, and workshops for all SAU engineers, including agricultural engineers, in order to earn Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points.

This certification demonstrates that “we have conducted enough training” and that “this year we are offering 08 training/seminars having 0.5 to 1.5 CPD points.” The faculty dean, Dr. Altaf Siyal, stated that in the past this type of training for professional engineers was conducted in other institutions.

Dr. Fateh Marri, vice chancellor of SAU, commended Dr. Altaf Siyal’s efforts in this area and stated that the university is making progress toward its goals of providing high-quality instruction and modern academic facilities for its students.

“Our agricultural engineers will find it simpler to get jobs in public and private institutions in the nation as well as abroad after receiving the BE degree from FAE,” he continued. BE typically refers to a Bachelor of Engineering, a type of undergraduate academic degree in the field of engineering.
