Emphasizing the pivotal role of private sector expertise, he advocated for leveraging external knowledge to streamline the management of distribution companies, thereby contributing to the reduction of circular debt—a persistent challenge in the sector.

Meeting Highlights: Focus on Timely Project Completion and System Reorganization

The meeting served as a platform to review the progress of major projects targeted at enhancing the power transmission system. Prime Minister directed authorities to ensure the timely completion of these critical projects. Among the key initiatives discussed were the Matiari Rahim Yar Khan Transmission Line and Ghazi Brotha Faisalabad Line, designed to bolster electricity transmission from the southern regions of the country.

Efforts to Combat Power Theft and Restructure NTDC

Addressing the pervasive issue of power theft, the meeting explored measures aimed at curbing this detrimental practice.
