European Blockchain Convention Set For October 24-26 In Barcelona

In Barcelona, Spain, from October 24 to 26, the ninth iteration of the European Blockchain Convention (EBC9) will take place.

The largest European Blockchain Convention since the event’s inception in 2018 will take place in the Catalan capital, where 5,000 attendees are anticipated. The event will take place in conjunction with El Clásico, a well-known football match between Barcelona and Real Madrid, making for an intriguing combination of events.

The conference provides a forum for networking among attendees as well as information on the most recent advancements in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital asset industries. C-suite executives from companies like Nansen, Fidelity, Fabric Ventures, and Animoca Brands are among those attending the three-day European Blockchain Convention 9.

Senior representatives from top blockchain companies will be present along with conventional businesses like Banco Santander and Volkswagen. Executives from Galaxy Digital and Binance Labs will also be there.

It was undoubtedly a wise choice to hold the event in Barcelona. The event’s organisers reported a spike in interest from potential exhibitors and sponsors following the success of the first edition. The largest convention centre in Spain, Fira Barcelona, has more space for exhibitors, making it suitable for a wider range of topics to be covered and providing thrilling new experiences.

This year’s event will cover a wide range of topics, including legal challenges, CBDCs, privacy, institutionalisation of cryptocurrency, DeFi, sustainability, tokenization, and the rise of AI. There will also be a hackathon, which over the course of 48 hours is expected to draw 200+ hackers, 30+ mentors, and 20 teams.

The programme includes three stages of panel discussions and workshops in addition to a 3,000 sqm exhibition area for sponsors and exhibitors. Additionally, there will be a 1-on-1 meeting space, a “Ask Me Anything” session with speakers, and five variously themed networking lounges. A meetup with investors, an art gallery, and the second iteration of the EBC Start-up Awards are also on the schedule for EBC9.
