H.E. Rashad Nabiyev, the Azerbaijani Minister for Digital Development and Transport, is currently in Pakistan on an official visit. The Minister met privately with Amb. Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, the Executive Director of COMSATS, during his visit to the Secretariat. They talked about a variety of concepts for cooperation on technology projects, especially in the areas of IT and digitalization.

The Memorandum of Understanding on ICT and Technology Training Program for Skill Development between COMSATS and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) of Azerbaijan was also signed in front of the Minister.

The ceremony was attended by the ambassadors and diplomats of the member countries of COMSATS as well as a significant number of internationally renowned Pakistani technology experts and innovators who are members of partner and affiliate organisations of COMSATS.

The Executive Director in his remarks, reiterated COMSATS’ commitment to bridging the technology and knowledge gap between the global North and the global South through South-South Cooperation.
