By creating an integrated bill collection eco-system through 1BILL, the collaboration aims to improve the bill payment experience for SCO subscribers.

The largest integrated telecom service provider in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Special Communications Organization (SCO), and 1LINK (Pvt) Ltd, the largest switch and payment system in Pakistan, have announced a strategic alliance. By creating an integrated bill collection eco-system through 1BILL, the collaboration aims to improve the bill payment experience for SCO subscribers.

High-ranking representatives from both organisations, including Brigadier Muhammad Maqbool Ahmed, Deputy Director General SCO, and Mr. Muhammad Bashir Khan, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of 1LINK (Pvt) Ltd., attended the signing ceremony at the SCO headquarters in Rawalpindi.

A seamless and user-friendly bill payment system will be established by SCO and 1LINK (Pvt) Ltd using their extensive networks and cutting-edge technologies under the terms of this agreement. The ease of paying their bills through this integrated platform will be beneficial to customers of SCOM services like GPON, S-Fiber, and S-Phone.

The partnership’s significance was emphasised by Mr. Farhan Shahid Khan, Chief Commercial Officer at SCO, who said, “A significant step has been taken towards streamlining bill payment procedures and increasing financial inclusion with the partnership between SCO and 1LINK (Pvt) Ltd. By combining the knowledge and assets of both businesses, we hope to offer fresh, seamless solutions that make paying bills easier for our devoted customers.”

In a statement expressing his excitement for the partnership, Mr. Muhammad Bashir Khan, COO of 1LINK (Pvt) Ltd, said, “Through our collaboration with SCO, we are delighted to bring the power of 1LINK 1BILL services to their subscribers, simplifying bill payments and improving their overall experience.”

Through a sizable infrastructure made up of microwave links and satellite terminals, Special Communications Organization (SCO) provides a full range of telecom services, including voice and data. SCO is still committed to bringing services to rural areas in AJ&K and GB, despite obstacles.

Additionally, S Paisa, a division of SCO, is a market leader in AJ&K and GB for Digital Financial Services (DFS). The goal of SCO is to improve customer connectivity and convenience by providing services like GPON, S-Fiber, PSTN, and others.
