Education Ministry offers fully funded scholarship to Syrian students

In a remarkable total of 192 gifted Pakistani students receiving this prestigious award, Pakistan has once again secured the highest number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships worldwide, according to a tweet from the European Union (EU) Pakistan account on Thursday.

Pakistan is at the top of the list thanks to this accomplishment, closely followed by India with 174 scholarships, Bangladesh with 140, Mexico with 118, and Nigeria with 109.

It’s important to note that the Erasmus Mundus programme is a significant initiative for collaboration and mobility in higher education. By forming alliances with other nations, it aims to improve the standard of higher education in Europe and promote communication and understanding between individuals and cultures.

The programme, which is supported by the European Union, awards scholarships to students from all over the world, allowing them to continue their studies in Europe.

The Master’s programmes that are currently supported by the European Union are listed in the Erasmus Mundus Catalogue, which is updated yearly.

The majority of these programs offer Erasmus Mundus scholarships, but some may not anymore because their funding period has ended or because they are no longer permitted to temporarily use the Erasmus Mundus name after funding has ended.

The master’s level Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are advanced, comprehensive study programmes. An international partnership of higher education institutions created and delivered them (HEI). They involve at least three higher education institutions from three different nations, at least two of which must be EU member states and third countries affiliated with the programme (previously called Programme Countries).

The European Union (EU) seeks to promote excellence and internationalisation of the participating institutions by supporting these jointly recognised Master degrees. Additionally, there are scholarships available for students to participate in these esteemed programmes, which the masters themselves offer to the top-scoring applicants worldwide.

Scholarships pay for a student’s programme fees, travel expenses, and a living expense allowance.
