PARC, ZTBL Ready To Introduce Innovative Technologies For Farmers

Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd. (ZTBL) will work with PARC to scale up the innovative technologies developed by PARC for farmers to improve farming. PARC and ZTBL enter into a joint venture whereby PARC uses its technical know-how and ZTBL receives credit approval for the transformation of agriculture that will increase farmer livelihood.

In the presence of members of the ZTBL Board of Directors, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PARC and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) to establish a collaborative relationship in promoting and adapting the most recent and novel agricultural technologies, practices, techniques, and Agri mechanisation for increasing farm efficiency and the benefit of the farming community.

This partnership can be a win-win for both PARC and ZTBL, as well as for farmers, as it combines PARC’s technical expertise with ZTBL’s financial resources to support the development and implementation of innovative technologies in agriculture.

To disseminate the most recent information, PARC and ZTBL may collaborate to conduct webinars, field days, seminars, workshops, etc. to disseminate the latest developments in agriculture and improve the livelihood of the farming community.

Both parties have the option of forming a partnership for the operation of joint ventures, pilot projects, and research initiatives, such as the creation of demonstration plots and research trials on cutting-edge agricultural equipment, agronomic techniques, crop diversification, etc.

ZTBL will conduct Zarai Baithaks and invite PARC experts to participate in their research outreach in an integrated approach for the proper benefits of the farming community across the nation.

Chairman of PARC, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali, stated that PARC will assist or invite ZTBL to assist in training and capacity building (physically or virtually) of Bank staff in improved agricultural technology, crop production practises, dairy and livestock management, agricultural entrepreneurship, and provide technical assistance and guidance to ZTBL in the transformation of ZTBL Farm Islamabad into an agriculture tourism centre.
