It’s nearly time—Apple’s iOS 15.2 is going to arrive any minute now. And it’s certainly the biggest iOS 15 update in terms of privacy upgrades. The iOS 15.2 update comes with a bunch of stunning new iPhone features that are going to be game-changing for your privacy.

Better still, it’s coming very soon. The beta 4 version of iOS 15.2 has just arrived, which means we will see the new iPhone update within the next couple weeks.

Here are the biggest three iPhone features you can look forward to in iOS 15.2.
Possibly the most game-changing feature coming in iOS 15.2 is the App Privacy Report. This new iPhone feature was launched with iOS 15 back in the Fall, but until iOS 15.2 lands, it lacks the ability for you to actually view the report. That’s right—you can create the report, but the file is currently unreadable, rendering the feature kinda useless.

Not anymore when iOS 15.2 launches. You’ll then be able to see which permissions you have granted which of your iPhone apps in an easy to read report. In addition, the App Privacy Report in iOS 15.2 will allow you to see which apps are tracking you, building on iOS 14’s famous App Tracking Transparency feature.

“The App Privacy Report offers the perfect opportunity to review what apps are up to in the background and help you fully take control of permissions,” says Jake Moore, cybersecurity specialist at ESET.

When iOS 15.2 launches, Moore advises you to take a look at your iPhone app permissions and revoke them where needed. “Granting access to sensitive information such as the microphone, photos and your location should not be taken lightly so it is vital that you are aware of what your apps are able to monitor and analyse.

“It is always best to minimise the amount of access to your data and only grant permissions when it is necessary for the app to function.”

iOS 15.2—Scan for AirTags tracking you
Another great privacy feature in iOS 15.2 is an enhancement to the Find My app to let you scan for AirTags or Find My enabled items that might be tracking you. In iOS 15.2, there’s an option in the Find My app in the Items tab under “Items That Can Track Me.”

This allows you to scan for items nearby that might be tracking you.

iOS 15.2—Hide My Email from your Apple Mail app
Another game-changing new feature coming in iOS 15.2 is the ability to hide your email directly from your Apple Mail App. Pretty cool, huh? All you need to do is go into your email, tap the Cc/Bcc field, and the option to hide your email should pop up. This will allow you to use a false email address when emailing marketers and others you don’t want to know your real email credentials. Your emails will still be forwarded on to your real address, and you can cancel your fake email addresses whenever you wish.

There you have it. Apple’s iOS 15.2 is game-changing for iPhone privacy, and it’s coming very soon. Check back to my page for updates.
