During 2020, Fujifilm released few cameras that included some of the best camera features in affordable price, Now Sony is doing the same thing with FX3.

Talking about the design FX3 looks a lot like A7S III, but FX3 is slightly thicker and shorter. The thickness of the camera is because of the added cooling system, which cools down the camera during the intervals in video recording. According to the company, this cooling system will allow to shoot in extremely hot weathers.

However, the electronic viewfinder has been removed which gives it more compact shape. FX3 is equipped with five 1/4 -20 threaded mount, 2 at the bottom of the camera and 3 on the top. This allows the camera to be mounted in a cage, on a gimble or a drone. It also has a backlit record button on top, a top-mounted joystick, a zoom control around the shutter button, tally lights on the front and back, a sliding power switch, and shortcut buttons optimized for video workflow.

It uses a 12 MP BSI CMOS sensor that’s optimized for 4K video, with sensitivity from ISO 80 to 102,400 and expansion to ISO 40–409,600. Looking at its Microsoft, it is identical to A7S III except for the inclusion of S-Cinetone.

The price of FX3 is $3900 which is $400 more than A7S III, but looking at the amazing features it is worth it. It will be available for purchase in few months, exact date is not revealed yet.
