Now, with Samsung’s two new premium additions to its 2020 Q-Series soundbar line-up, the HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T, you can enjoy a cinema-like surround sound experience with your Samsung TV at home.

When paired with Samsung’s new 8K QLED Q950TS TV, the HW-Q950T soundbar is able to give viewers a richer, fuller surround sound experience thanks to Samsung’s signature Q-Symphony technology which allows both the TV and soundbar to work simultaneously.

The HW-Q950T soundbar comes with a 9.1.4 channel which is the maximum number of channels for currently available home-theatre systems in a single soundbar. This new model adds two left and right channel speakers to Samsung’s previous 7.1.4 channel system to allow audio on the screen to be expressed in a more life-like manner with greater immersion.

Meanwhile, the HW-Q900T has a 7.1.2 channel system, with 16 speakers in total compared to the 20 speakers on the HW-Q950T. Both of the new Samsung speakers support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for both an immersive and multi-dimensional sound experience.

Aside from the new Q950TS, the Q-series soundbars can also be paired with other compatible TVs in Samsung’s new lineup of 2020 QLED TVs for better audio synergy. Not only do the soundbar and TVs’ speakers work well together, Samsung has also made adjustments to the product design of their sound bars, reducing the height of both models to 69.5mm from 85mm so that they fit perfectly under the TV without looking out of place.

“In collaboration with Audio Lab in the US, we have been able to develop multi-dimensional surround sound that can be more accessible at home, which was previously only possible with a separate home-theater system,” said Seong Cho, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Product Marketing of the Visual Display Business at Samsung in a press statement.

The two new models also come with smart features such as SmartThings App and Alexa voice service, which allows users to command their favourite music streaming apps such as Spotify or Amazon Music. The HW-Q950T also comes with a Tap Sound function that lets users easily share music from their Android phone to the soundbar by simply tapping on it.

The HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T will be available in Singapore from 20 July 2020 onward with a retail price of S$2,899 and S$2,299 respectively.
