During the syndicate meeting of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), it has been decided to open hospitals affiliated to private medical colleges for the treatment of corona patients. The University of Health Sciences is affiliated to 45 private medical and dental colleges.
According to a statement issued by the University of Health Sciences after the meeting, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) will request the Punjab Healthcare Commission to open these hospitals.
According to the statement, these hospitals are also legally bound to provide 50% free beds to the public.
The statement further said that the private medical college will allocate at least 150 beds for corona patients while the beds for corona patients will be allocated within 48 hours.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that more than 100 deaths in a single day from Corona in Pakistan is a matter of concern.
