The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication will present a summary of the smartphone manufacturing to the ECC.
Ministry of information and technology further elaborated that this summary will propose significant motivating forces for smartphone manufacturing in Pakistan. The agreements were reached during a high level meeting led by Federal Secretary for IT and Telecom Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui and various stakeholders were also present in the meeting.
Conversing with media person, Siddiqui said that consensus has been made and the synopsis after the endorsement of Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haque would be submitted to the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
Answering an inquiry, the secretary said the service would propose significant discounts on cell phone trades just as a decrease in charges on assembling and manufacturing. He further told that empowering this segment would add to the GDP, import bills would be decreased. It will create several job opportunities for our youth and will also enhance industrialization in the country.
He further said the impetuses bundle for cell phones producing is lined up with the prime minister’s vision of ‘Digital Pakistan’.
