Pakistan Army shown training launch of Shaheen-1

Pakistan Army effectively conducted training launch Shaheen-1 which is SSBM (Surface-to- Surface ballistic Missile)

The training launch was viewed by DG Strategic Plans Division, commander Army Strategic Forces Command, and chairman National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), besides senior officers of the division, ASFC, scientists and engineers.

DG Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj GPakistan Army shown training launch of Shaheen-1en Asif Ghafoor said “The launch was conducted as part of a training exercise, which was aimed at testing the operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command”.

He further said “Troops displayed a high standard of proficiency in handling and operating the potent weapon system, ensuring Pakistan’s credible minimum deterrence”.

He informed Shaheen-1 is proficient of delivering all types of warheads up to a range of 650 kilometres.

Military of Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of the Shaheen-II surface-to-surface ballistic missile Earlier in May. Another successfully carried out the night training launch of Ghaznavi in August which is surface-to-surface ballistic missile deliver multiple types of warheads up to 290 kilometres.

Troops displayed a high standard of proficiency in handling and operating the potent weapon system, ensuring Pakistan’s credible minimum deterrence.

Chairman Joints Chief of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs have congratulated team for  successfully conducting the test.

President and the prime minister have also appreciated the team involved in the successful missile test.
