Pakistan Poultry Association organized International Poultry Exhibition (IPEX 2017) at Expo Centre Lahore. The expo was 3 days including stalls of foreign companies there were total 150 stalls set up.

Interactive sessions were also planned with IPEX 2017 exhibition said Abdul Haye Mehta, the chief organizer of International Poultry Expo 2017. Vice-chancellors, principals, nutritionists, and dieticians of universities and colleges, senior medical doctors have also attended the expo along with the president and executive members of the chambers of commerce, senior anchors, and media personalities.

Dr. Abdul Karim chairman Pakistan Poultry Association stated that he grateful to Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, Vice-Chancellor, UVAS, Lahore, for organizing Poultry Science Conference @2017 in which 7,000 participants have registered and expected participants are 10,000. He also added that at this economic crisis of country the poultry has grown to 10%.

Dr. Karim said that the expo was a breakthrough in poultry industry. Around 12 countries of the world will show case their products at expo. This is the evidence for growing awareness about poultry industry and government should take care this 40% meat market he urged.

He further stated that China is investing in poultry industry of Pakistan and it is the best market and unquestionably halal meat along with being rich in protein.

Abdul Haye Mehta also said that there is no value for traditional poultry industry now situation has changed. Growing industry demands international standards. He claimed expo to be a landmark for poultry industry furnishing interest from common and scientist. In Pakistan, 17 gram of protein is used to international standard of 27 gm of proteins. China is willing to invest 50 billion Rs in Pakistan’s poultry industry that will double the production. Pakistan Poultry Association Secretary Major Javed Bukhari said that foreign individuals and companies have expressed solemn interest in IPEX that has 19 years of legacy.
