STAFF REPORT ISB: The technological access and communication efficiency must reach the far flung areas and rural community for the overall betterment and integration of the society. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has recently leaked in their official website that work on 3G and 4G services in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Senior official from PTA said while talking to Technology Times, “The operators have covered most areas of the AJandK and have also extended services to main localities of Gilgit Baltistan. Due to this, mobile services with data facilities are available in far-flung mountainous areas of the country”.

The people from those communities will be able to transfer data by using 3G and 4G internet services. The lagging behind and delay in reaching to Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan was due to long procedures and mandatory consents that were required from the governments of respective regions.
