Staff Report ISD: The National ICT RandD Fund Company had its 35th Board of Directors meeting which was held at Ministry of Information Technology.


Anusha Rahman, Minster Information Technology presided the meeting. The notable dignitaries included top brass of National ICT RandD Fund Company Asif Roomi, Mudassar Hussain, Tahir Mushtaq, Asim Shehryar along with other members.


The meeting outcome was awe-inspiring as unanimous decision to set up first state of the art Tech-City project in Islamabad was cemented. The project will be extended to all provinces gradually, Ministry of IT spokesman said.


A presentation that detailed the different dimensions and models of the proposed Tech-City was presented by Dr. Shahid Qureshi. He further informed the board that Tech-City will be funded by ICT RandD Fund Company under the umbrella of Ministry of Information Technology.


The objectives of the Tech City were enumerated by Anusha Rahman. She said, “Tech city will be a milestone in developing and propelling entrepreneurship culture in Pakistan. This project will provide equal opportunity to the professionals and students from under privileged areas of Pakistan to showcase their innovation and creativity in IT business.”
