Press Release: In an unprecedented move, Pakistans leading mobile and online food ordering platform has launched a delivery system called foodpanda Delivery to strengthen operations across Pakistan.

Foodpanda Delivery will integrate operations by working around three tiers: delivery resource hiring, real-time order status tracking and to provide cost effective delivery service for non-delivery restaurants.

According to Talha Ansari, co-Managing Director, “It is a move into full-fledged delivery system of our own. We are growing operational team, allowing customer transparency into core function of our business and creating delivery solutions for restaurants unable to do so. It will eventually be much cheaper for everyone to use our delivery system than to try to maintain their own fleet. Its a win-win situation for all.”

To expand its delivery footprint, will operate through destination delivery points all over Pakistan. These hubs will operate simultaneously; receiving direct orders and operational strategies from headquarter to assist delivery in assigned locations. To support this process, mass recruitment of delivery riders is being done. Teams will go through extensive training before advancing into real operations.

“We are in direct competition with some businesses however; we differentiate better by doing more. From transactions to order status tracking, new and existing businesses will require some time coming across this integration”, shares Ahsan Mateen, Co-Managing Director

For the first time in Pakistan, an online food ordering platform will allow its customers a complete control over order delivery status. The delivery rider in transit will easily be navigated using real-time tracker short-link received through SMS alert.

“Tracking system is not limited to customers. Our delivery resources will be equipped with smartphones to make use of Google maps in locating destinations around the city. The goal is essentially to get the order delivered to customer in an hour or less by utilizing cost effective 3G/4G mobile technology, real-time delivery management platform and Google-maps” adds Ahsan Mateen. has achieved 100% growth since August, 2014 which places it atop other players in the market. Following post-acquisition events, the online portal fueled up improved operations across the country, reducing delivery complaints by 100%.

foodpanda Delivery is expected to complete beta testing at the end of Q2, 2015. Subsequently, looks to improve communication at both ends of business operation as well as customer.
