STAFF REPORT ISB: Ericsson Pakistan has planned to further explore the Pakistans IT sector and give the customers best products in terms of quality, innovation and linkages. “Our company, which has been working in Pakistan for the last 50 years, would recapture the market with the help of innovation and fair deal,” said Victoria Strand, President and Head of Ericsson Gulf Countries Council (GCC) and Pakistan, while talking to media during her recent visit to Pakistan.

During her visit, she had also inaugurated the Ericsson Experience Centre, a studio like enclave with a video wall showcasing Ericssons real strength i.e. innovation and linkages.

“Here we can hold meetings with our partners, media persons, customers and dignitaries and introduce them to the world Ericsson,” said Victoria Strand after the inauguration.

She explained that at present Ericsson Pakistan in partnership with Warid and Mobilink and is looking forward to broaden its network by entering into agreements with ministries of Defence, Communication and Interior.

“After the launch of 3G and 4G, many companies are eyeing big business opportunities in Pakistan,” she remarked saying in the same breath telecom business is on decline and average revenue is quite low. To a question, she said political stability is good for overall business environment. Despite all these challenges we are looking forward to sharing our business with other operators like Zong, Ufone and Telenor.
