STAFF REPORT IBD: The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Institute of Space Technology (IST), has recently organized a one-day workshop on “The Contributions and Responsibilities of Faculty in Self Assessment”. Abdul Wahab Motla, Director QEC of Air University, was the resource person for the workshop.
The workshop was specifically designed for faculty members. The workshop aimed to update faculty members about QA Instrumental Approach and HECs criteria and procedure of Self-Assessment for HEIs, to make them more aware of their role and contribution in improving programmes and to enhance their competence on writing of the Self-Assessment Report.
On the occasion, Abdul Wahab emphasized on the importance of self-assessment activity for faculty members and programmes. A detailed discussion was carried out on the mission statement, objectives and outcomes of programmes and their alignment with the universitys mission. On the occasion, he guided faculty members on the importance of feedback surveys for the measurement of programme outcomes.
Moreover, the curriculum design and development was explored for bringing improvement in the learning process.
The closing ceremony was conducted by Dr. Khalil Awan, Director QEC. He thanked the resource person for his valuable pedagogical guidance and congratulated participants for their active participation.
