The National Unified Procurement Company (Nupco), a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) specializing in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and supplies, successfully concluded its participation in the Global Health Exhibition.

The National Unified Procurement Company (Nupco) is a Saudi Arabian company that provides medical supply and logistical services to public hospitals and medical centers across the country.

The event witnessed the signing of 14 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements with various health entities and pharmaceutical companies, aimed at fostering investment opportunities in the healthcare sector.

These collaborative efforts are instrumental in advancing Nupco’s services within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing to a cohesive healthcare system aligned with the objectives of Vision 2030. This vision aspires to forge a dynamic society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation.

One pivotal agreement inked by Nupco focuses on localizing the insulin industry within the Kingdom. This strategic move reinforces the government’s initiatives, with the active involvement of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Ministry of Investment.

The collaboration also includes the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, as well as the Spending Efficiency and Government Projects Authority. The overarching objective is to establish a robust medical and pharmaceutical industry, enhancing drug and health security within the Kingdom.

Nupco’s presence at the exhibition was marked by a booth showcasing cutting-edge innovations and solutions, exemplifying best practices in the realm of medical supply chains and logistical services.

The company’s engagement at the exhibition aimed at nurturing relationships and fortifying existing partnerships with entities in both the public and private sectors.

The event, held under the theme “Invest in Health” and organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health, facilitated 30 dialogue sessions featuring insights from 100 expert speakers in the fields of medicine and healthcare.

The exhibition took place at the ROSHN Front Exhibition and Convention Center, formerly known as the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center, from October 29 to 31. In the course of the three-day event, agreements totaling SR13.3 billion (approximately $3.55 billion) were signed across 138 deals, underscoring the substantial impact and opportunities within the healthcare sector.
