Malaysia’s tech startup scene is booming, with promising businesses making a significant contribution. To support neighbourhood startups, Cyberview, a significant player, organised Tech Innovators Day in Cyberjaya. Graduates of Cyberview’s Living Lab Accelerator (CLLA) program presented their solutions and experiences at the event.
Over RM252 million in total investments have been raised, over RM90 million in cumulative revenue has been recorded to date, and 90 start-ups have been nurtured through the programme.

In areas like smart cities, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital technologies, it aims to accelerate the growth of start-ups and assist them in creating and commercialising innovative solutions.
Shafinaz Salim, head of technology for Cyberview’s Hub Development Division, claims that the CLLA program is one of the nation’s oldest start-up accelerator programmes.
It highlights Cyberview’s dedication to offering an ecosystem that facilitates R&D&C, or research, development, and commercialization, with the goal of bolstering and empowering the start-up scene, according to her.
Cyberview had a specific focus on smart city solutions across three of Cyberjaya’s smart city pillars, namely the smart economy, smart environment, and smart society, through the CLLA program.

More than 1,400 new jobs have been created as a result of the CLLA programme start-ups as a whole.
The CLLA programme, led by Shafinaz, is seeking startups to join its ecosystem for boosting innovative solutions. Cyberview has invested over RM6 million in start-ups for over a decade, supporting viable solutions for commercialization.
Successful alumni include MedKAD, which is one of the inventors of Malaysia’s Covid-19 saliva test kit, and others like Govicle, Pandai, Billplz, and Urban Farm Tech.
TheLorry is the next. They are also alumni of our school and are currently expanding their services abroad, but their Malaysian office is still open.
Cyberview is seeking start-ups in the fields of green technology, industrial IoT & robotics, digitisation & data solutions, and smart-living solutions for this new cohort.
Selected start-ups will receive a workspace at Colnnov8, Cyberview’s collaborative smart city co-working space, as well as resources, facilities, business advisory and mentorship, networking, and market access opportunities, as part of the intensive five-month programme.
Each participating start-up will receive a total of more than RM100,000 in benefits, according to Shafinaz.
After completing the CLLA program, start-ups will also have access to piloting opportunities that will allow them to start implementing go-to-market plans right away or start looking for additional funding from local, regional, or international investors, with additional assistance from Cyberview.
