The Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) was founded in 1963 with the goal of promoting and coordinating the country’s oil and gas industry. Currently, it has 81 private individual members and 21 industrial collective members. It is run by a board of directors chosen from among the CEOs of the member companies.

The Institute’s goal is to advance the growth of Pakistan’s oil and gas industry through capacity building, research, publications, seminars, workshops, and conferences as well as policy advocacy.

The PIP Pakistan Energy Outlook report makes recommendations and forecasts the nation’s energy supply and demand over a 25-year period. PIP collaborates with all stakeholders and promotes industry-wide discussion to create sector-specific solutions.

PIP was created with the intention of assisting and directing organisations and people connected to the sector in achieving its goals and ensuring its ongoing relevance.

PIP aids in the development of a knowledgeable and skilled workforce that raises the standard of service, promotes moral behaviour, and researches policy and regulatory concerns that have an impact on the sector.
