E Commerce Training Session Held To Improve Lives Of Challenged People

The way to improve the quality of life for deaf and hard-of-hearing communities is to educate them about technology and related social and economic issues. This was stated by two disabled individuals, Kashaf Alvi and Mikaal Aziz, during a training session on e-commerce by the Global Shapers Community, a project of the World Economic Forum.

Alvi, the first differently-abled Microsoft Certified Associate in Pakistan and author of a book, has also produced a short film and developed mobile applications to enhance the quality of life for the community of people with disabilities.

He was also awarded the Pride of Pakistan award. Aziz is a creative social affairs student. Participants gained a better understanding of e-commerce with the assistance of the two instructors.

Technology use is pervasive in almost every aspect of life and is essential to generating a respectable living in the contemporary world. One of many instances of the Global Shapers’ contribution to the development of communities for people with disabilities is the training seminar.

The community, which has more than 14,000 members from 150 different countries, is at the centre of long-lasting change driven by inspirational youth policymaking and problem-solving.

The first of many training sessions Alvi and Aziz will conduct to teach the deaf community about tolerance and trust, as well as technology and e-commerce, was held at the Sir Syed Deaf Association in Islamabad.

The World Economic Forum‘s Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters is its most well-known event. Numerous leaders from business, government, and civil society have travelled to the high Alps over the years to reflect on the most pressing global issues of the day and to come up with solutions.

The Forum received official recognition as a global organisation in 2015. The next stage of its development as a global platform for public-private cooperation has begun.
