Youth Affairs & Sports Department and Punjab Information Technology Board organized e-Rozgaar Training Program Transition Ceremony today at Governor House Punjab. Governor of the Punjab, Mr. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman joined the ceremony as Chief Guest. Chairman P&D PITB, Mr. Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Secretary Youth Affairs & Sports Department, Mr. Asadullah Faiz, Secretary Higher Education Department, Mr. Najaf Iqbal, Secretaries from Government Departments, Worthy Vice-Chancellors from e-Rozgaar Partner Universities across Punjab, Director Colleges, Team from Youth Affairs & Sports Department, Punjab Information Technology Board, e-Rozgaar and high achievers joined the ceremony as guests.

The ceremony was started with the opening note of the Secretary of Youth Affairs & Sports Department. While addressing, he paid his kind regard to the Governor of the Punjab for joining the ceremony.

He formally welcomed Vice-Chancellors of universities for the Post-Project Continuation MoU Signing Ceremony. On this occasion Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob in his address said that e-Rozgaar center the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established on 13th February 2020 which was completed in a short span of 7 months. A state-of-the-art center for unemployed youth has been set up which is providing higher education and employment opportunities not only in Bahawalpur but also for the youth in remote areas.

These students are increasing their foreign exchange reserves not only for themselves but also for Pakistan. Success story of Saifullah from Mianwali, who got training from e-Rozgaar Program and earned PKR 2.5 crores, was played while high achievers of e-Rozgaar Training Program Rimsha Nawaz and Talha Ahsan were invited to share their success with the respected guests. Chairman P&D – PITB also addressed the audience.

While addressing, he pointed out the importance of digital literacy and skilled youth for the future progress of Country. He also mentioned that e-Rozgaar is empowering youth with digital skills and entrepreneurship.

He appraised the PITB team for making the program a success. Vice-Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob, Vice-Chancellor Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, Ms. Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza T.I.

Vice-Chancellor University of Education, Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer shared their feelings and experience regarding e-Rozgaar training program and thanked the Governor of the Punjab for giving them the opportunity to make the program sustainable. After that, in the presence of Governor of the Punjab, Chairman P&D – PITB, Secretary Youth Affairs & Sports Department, Director General e-Governance PITB, Vice-Chancellors from Partner Universities signed the MoU for the transition of e-Rozgaar Training Program to self-sustainable model.

Governor of the Punjab, Mr. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman addressed the audience at the closing of ceremony. He was amazed to see the success stories of e-Rozgaar Training Program and endorsed the stakeholders for successfully running the program over the years. As a Chancellor of Public Sector Universities of Punjab, he ensured to provide his support to all Vice-Chancellors for the smooth transition of the project.
