Punjab will soon design policies and strategies that will lead to improvements in quality of Pakistani product. The policies will be based on the first-ever survey for National Industrial Innovation.

Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) will conduct the ‘First National Industrial Innovation Survey’ with the allocation of Rs. 45.041 million.

Survey is a project approved by the PCST. The survey is designed for the time period of 24 months. An official of PCST told media that this survey will motivate factors for firms to initiate innovative activities.

The survey will provide the insights into the innovation process in the industrial sector of Pakistan. The future planning and management for industrial production will be benefitted from this survey.

He further said that survey would boost our economy as well as earning of foreign exchange and will have long-term effects.

It would also be a landmark step to achieve the target set under vision 2025 aimed to increase export from US $ 25 billion to US $ 150 billion annually. It will also make country one of 25 largest economies of the world leading to upper-middle-income counties status and create at least five global Pakistani brands.

He added that the survey would enhance its competitiveness in the national and international market and also suggest policy measures and roadmap for promoting innovative ideas.
