Mojo-Training-of-Journalists

The Virtual University of Pakistan with the collaboration of the Press Information Department Islamabad and the Pakistan Information Center organized a series of Mojo (Mobile Journalism) training sessions for the working journalist of Pakistan.

In the first phase, these training sessions were conducted in Islamabad and Lahore.

The first two-day training session was conducted at Information Services Academy Islamabad for the journalists of National Press Club Islamabad and their nominees.
The journalists from leading media groups including PTV, APP, and private channels participated in the training session.

The training session got massive applause from the participants and heads of allied departments. The session was also attended by Project Director PID Ms. Nighat and Incharge Pakistan Information Center Ms. Laila Kazmi.

Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb attended the session as chief guest on the second day of the training session. Principal Information officer/ DG PID Mr. Mobashir Hasan also joined the session along with the DG Information Services Academy, Mr. Saeed Javed.

The Federal Minister applauded the Virtual University and especially the role of the Rector Virtual University Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti for arranging valuable training sessions. She urged DG ISA to collaborate with the Virtual University of Pakistan for the training of CSS officers as well.

DG PID Mr. Mobashir Hasan appreciated General Manager Marketing Virtual University Ms. Rubina Ali for organizing professional and engaging training sessions.
The second training session was conducted for the journalists of the Lahore division at Lahore Press Club. The Director-General Press Information Department Lahore Ms. Sajeela Naveed was the chief guest for the inaugural session.
The journalist from the renowned media organizations attended the session.
The training was very fruitful and was admired by the participants. The President of Lahore Press Club Mr. Azam Chaudhary was the chief guest for the final session of the training. He appreciated the professionalism of VU trainers Mr. Azhar Ul Hassan Sumra and Mr. Zeeshan Nasir.

Director-General PID Lahore Ms. Sajeela Naveed and Deputy Director PID Ms. Maria Rasheed Malik also attended the final session.
