STAFF REPORT RWP: Punjab Governor Ch. Muhammad Sarwar has said that higher education opens unlimited vistas and possibilities of success and growth in life.


“Concentrate on the importance of time, let me assure you that intelligence doesnt work alone, hard work is the key to success in practical life,” said the Governor while addressing the Convocation of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, at the Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad.


He said that money is not the measuring criteria for success; success is what you do for others. He assured his full support for fulfilling the demands of the university. “We have to work together to take our state forward along the path of inclusive growth and development through intellectual and scientific know-how,” he added.


The governor, who was the chief guest, conferred degrees upon graduating students of PhD, MPhil, Masters and Undergraduate programmes. Students with distinction were honoured with gold and silver medals for their outstanding achievements in their academic career.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mukhtar said HEC has achieved a lot since 2002. Last year, there were 9,000 research publications.
