According to details, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said in his video message regarding the manufacturing of ventilators at the local level that Pakistan has become one of the few countries which are manufacturing the ventilators themselves.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the process of making ventilators is a complex process, many countries do not have the capacity to make these complex machines. Our engineers did a great job, the first batch of ‘Made in Pakistan’ ventilators is ready.

He said that eight to ten ventilators would be handed over to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) next week, adding that work on three more designs was underway and preparations were in the final stages.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan would not only meet its own needs but also export ventilators.

It may be recalled that earlier the Federal Minister while announcing the good news had said that the first batch of ventilators made in Pakistan has been prepared which will be handed over to NDMA this week.

He said the next three designs were also in the final stages of preparation. All these machines manufactured in the country are in accordance with European standards.
