Industry 4.0 Training Commences at PMSTP in Karachi

In a significant stride towards empowering the youth with cutting-edge skills, the “Industry 4.0 Training: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Power Business” initiative by Crystal System Group commenced at the Skill Development Centre of Pakistan Maritime Science and Technology Park (PMSTP) in Karachi.

The inauguration ceremony, graced by Chief Guest Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi, Chairman of the Karachi Port Trust, underscored the pivotal role of IT, software, and AI proficiency in fostering both individual growth and national economic development.

Rear Admiral (retd) Ahmed Fauzan HI(M), Pro-Rector of RIC Bahria University, lauded the establishment of Crystal System’s training facility as a pioneering endeavor in Pakistan. The collaboration between Bahria University and Crystal System Group, facilitated under a memorandum of understanding (MoU), promises free education to over 10,000 Pakistani students, marking a commendable step towards educational inclusivity.

Ms. Gabraila Divigo, CFO of Crystal System Group, and Mr. Marco Rossetti, Business Director of CSG, introduced the Crystal Talent Academy, underscoring its alignment with the evolving needs of industrial sectors. They extended congratulations to the trainees and expressed gratitude to the management of Bahria University for their unwavering support.

Providing insights into the significance of PMSTP’s contributions to the maritime industry and the national GDP, Commodore (retd) Arshad M. Khan SI(M), Director of PMSTP, highlighted the strategic importance of initiatives fostering technological advancement.

Mr. Jibran Jamshed, Talent Manager at Microsoft, shed light on the ongoing transition from the 4th to the 5th industrial revolution, driven by advancements in AI and related disciplines, underlining the necessity for upskilling in these domains.

Commending the collaborative efforts of Bahria University, KESTRAL CEO Mr. Liaquat Ali Baig, and Crystal System Group in launching the Industry 4.0 training, Mr. Syedain Raza Zaidi urged students to actively pursue IT, software, and AI competencies to contribute to economic growth. He acknowledged Crystal System Group’s confidence in the potential of Pakistani youth to lead technological innovation.

The ceremony witnessed the active participation of CEOs from prominent tech and business firms, representatives of CSG, and the Director-General and faculty members of Bahria University Karachi Campus, signifying broad industry support for initiatives fostering skill development and technological advancement.
