Infinium, a leader in electrofuels (eFuels), has won the esteemed title of Energy Transition Technology of the Year at the 25th Annual Platts Global Energy Awards, marking a victory for sustainable energy innovation.

The event, often hailed as the “Oscars of the energy industry,” convened by S&P Global Commodity Insights, recognized and celebrated outstanding achievements in 21 performance categories, with winners emerging from various corners of the globe, including Belgium, Germany, India, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Infinium, a trailblazer in developing next-generation fuels, caught the spotlight for its groundbreaking efforts in propelling the market towards climate goals during the ongoing energy transition. The company’s eFuels, a focal point of their innovation, are crafted using carbon dioxide (CO2) that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere, combined with green hydrogen derived from renewable power sources.

These ultra-low carbon eFuels not only eschew sulfur but also outshine traditional petroleum-based fuels in terms of cleanliness and environmental impact.

An esteemed independent panel of judges meticulously selected the winners for the 2023 Platts Global Energy Awards. In honoring Infinium with the Energy Transition Technology of the Year accolade, the judges acknowledged the company’s leadership, innovation, and exemplary performance in driving the energy industry towards a more sustainable future.

Saha noted that each winner, not only in 2023 but throughout the event’s history, has played a pivotal role in shaping a more sustainable energy future, showcasing a heightened commitment to community service, energy security, and a sustainable energy transition.

Infinium’s triumph as the Energy Transition Technology of the Year underscores the pivotal role of innovative eFuels in driving the global energy landscape towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
