The upcoming Gitex Technology exhibition, renowned as the world’s largest technology and startup showcase, is set to be 40% larger than its previous edition, featuring over 6,000 exhibitors from around the world. Scheduled from October 16 to 20, the 43rd Gitex Global will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, while Expand North Star will take place at Dubai Harbour.

The event will witness more than 1,800 companies unveiling their latest innovations, with 1,400 at Dubai Harbour and 400 at Dubai World Trade Centre. This year’s expo is themed around “The Year to Imagine AI in Everything.”

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Application, emphasized Gitex’s global significance as a platform for visionaries to shape the future of technology.

Al Olama highlighted the necessity for secure global cooperation in the age of rapid technological advancement, praising Gitex for fostering such collaboration. He further acknowledged the UAE’s evolution into a global technology leader, emphasizing its role in enabling technology for the betterment of all.

Over 50 countries will present their tech innovations at the expo, with a special focus on technologies that are poised to transform the future. Al Olama expressed hope that the UAE would serve as a launchpad for these companies to achieve ‘decacorn’ status, valued at $10 billion or more.

Gitex will also feature discussions on technology adoption not only in developed nations but also in developing countries, emphasizing the inclusive potential of technology.

Trixie LohMirmand, executive vice-president of Dubai World Trade Centre, highlighted the significant growth of the show, attributed in part to added tents at DWTC and Dubai Harbour.

Over 250 governments from the region will participate, with a strong emphasis on topics like Web 3.0 gaming, digital cities, AI, and cybersecurity. The show will host over 6,000 firms and expects attendance from over 180,000 individuals representing 80 countries.

The event will feature 1,500 speakers from over 100 countries, offering a staggering 900 hours of content across various themes.
