Nory Emerges Victorious in KPMG Global Tech Innovator Ireland Final

In a resounding achievement, Nory, an AI-powered operating system tailored for the hospitality sector, clinched the title of KPMG Global Tech Innovator Ireland final.

The brainchild of Conor Sheridan, Nory’s Founder and CEO, this triumph propels Ireland’s representation to the global final in Lisbon on November 15, where Conor will face off against 22 other country finalists.

The competition witnessed Conor pitted against seven other cutting-edge startups from across the island of Ireland, showcasing solutions spanning diversity and inclusion, influencer marketing, child protection, and women’s health.

Anna Scally, KPMG’s Head of Technology & Media and a distinguished member of the Global Tech Innovator judging panel, commended the exceptional quality of this year’s entries. She expressed the challenge faced by the judges in selecting a winner, ultimately bestowing the honor upon Nory.

The KPMG team in Ireland extended their best wishes to Conor, emphasizing the invaluable opportunity to engage with investors, receive mentorship from top-tier CEOs, network with industry peers, and contend for the global prize.

Conor’s journey from restaurateur to tech entrepreneur forms the foundation of Nory’s inception. Having initially pursued a career in finance, he later ventured into the culinary realm, establishing the highly successful independent Mad Egg restaurant group.

It was during this tenure that Conor identified a need for an intelligent restaurant management system capable of enhancing frontline team performance.

Nory’s platform is purpose-built to empower venues in cost management and ensure consistent daily operations. By consolidating essential restaurant functions into a single control hub, Nory offers a comprehensive suite of tools encompassing sales analytics, forecasting, workforce management, and inventory oversight.

Leveraging proprietary AI models, it analyzes business data for each restaurant, offering actionable insights to enhance cost control, productivity, and employee engagement.

Nory collaborates with esteemed brands across Ireland, continental Europe, and the UK, including Stonegate Pubs, Jamie Oliver Group, Freshly Chopped, and Dr. Juice.

Demonstrating remarkable efficacy, it has consistently delivered over a 50% increase in net profit for its clientele, marking a transformative impact.

Earlier this year, Nory secured €7 million in a seed funding round, co-led by Triple Point Ventures and Samaipata VC. Noteworthy participants included Playfair Capital, Cavalry VC, and Circlerock Capital. This investment is channeled towards enhancing the capabilities of Nory’s proprietary technology and expediting its go-to-market strategy.

Conor Sheridan expressed his elation at being named Ireland’s KPMG Global Tech Innovator winner. He underscored Nory’s mission to revolutionize global hospitality operations through the power of AI, especially in the face of mounting operational challenges.

As he prepares to represent Ireland in Lisbon, Conor remains steadfast in his determination to bring home this accolade for the thriving Irish ecosystem.
