PAFLA, MMBL Partner To Boost Financial Literacy And Entrepreneurship

A strategic partnership was established between Pakistan Freelancers’ Association (PAFLA) and Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) in order to promote financial literacy, inclusivity, and entrepreneurship throughout the nation.

As part of the partnership, PAFLA and Mobilink Microfinance Bank will set up incubation centres all over Pakistan, organise events and workshops, support independent contractors, offer academic assistance, and support freelancers. Additionally, the two partners will work together to organise executive events and roadshows across Pakistan.

In this regard, the MoU was signed at the Mobilink Bank headquarters in Islamabad by Ghazanfar Azzam, President and CEO of Mobilink Bank, and CEO Tufail Ahmed Khan of PAFLA. Ibrahim Amin, a PAFLA co-founder, was also present.

Together, PAFLA and MMBL will train independent contractors in financial literacy. Budgeting, saving, and investing are some of the topics covered in this training.

PAFLA and Mobilink Bank will work to support business development and entrepreneurship through this strategic partnership and shared commitment. Along with offering mentorship, training, educational opportunities, and co-working spaces in various cities, the Bank will open Freelancer Accounts for both current and new PAFLA members.

The awareness and comprehension of the features of the app will be greatly aided by these educational events. A greater number of people will be able to access Mobilink Bank’s inclusive digital and financial services by spreading awareness of the app’s features and encouraging its adoption.

CEO of PAFLA Tufail Ahmed Khan stated, “The trend of freelancing in Pakistan has been on the rise, but there is a big room to further promote this workstyle throughout the country by giving our people, particularly youth, access to training and capacity building programmes. In this regard, accountable institutions ought to step up and take an active part in developing the nation’s human talent.

“The freelancers are playing a crucial role in bringing foreign exchange to the country,” said Ibrahim Amin, co-founder and chairman of PAFLA. Our banks should offer them simple account options so they can serve the country effectively and without any problems.
