Mobilink Bank, HF Join Forces To Boost Financial Inclusion For MSMEs

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mobilink Bank and Hashoo Foundation (HF) has been signed in order to jointly improve financial inclusion for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

By supporting and training MSMEs, this partnership aims to empower them and encourage their entrepreneurial journeys. Through this collaboration, Mobilink Bank is dedicated to supporting small businesses in their expansion and success in a business environment that is rapidly changing.

Through its flagship initiatives like the Entrepreneurship Training Hub and Incubation Center (ETHIC), the Hashoo Foundation has positively impacted the lives of three million people, according to Ms. Ayesha Khan.

It has also won numerous awards, including the Clinton Global Initiatives Award, BBC Global Challenge Award, and International Forum (iF) Social Impact Prize for empowering women through various value chain approaches.

Training female entrepreneurs for waste-to-money conversion was a novel action research project in the Sustainable Methods and Resilient Technologies (SMaRT) village project. Through such collaborations in different partnerships, HF empowered over 12,000 women and men in the previous year.

In the presence of senior representatives from both organisations, the agreement was signed by Ghazanfar Azzam, President and CEO of Mobilink Bank, and Ms. Ayesha Khan, CEO of HF and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) at Hashoo Group.

This partnership, which has a particular focus on fostering a financial inclusive banking ecosystem, takes advantage of digital onboarding processes and gives entrepreneurs access to a wide range of crucial financial products and solutions. The agreement also grants female HF beneficiaries access to the bank’s Bint-e-Hawwa product.

Mobilink Bank’s partnership with HF is a powerful catalyst for change, as it fuels the growth of women-led SMEs and microenterprises, creating a ripple effect of empowerment, prosperity, and a more equitable financial landscape.

Mobilink Bank actively supports these businesses, closing the gender pay gap, and building an inclusive economy that benefits everyone by offering tailored capacity-building initiatives and networking opportunities.

The VEON group, a multinational digital operator that offers converged connectivity and online services in seven nations, includes Mobilink Bank.

The Women Inspirational Network (WIN) programme, the main sustainable initiative of Mobilink Bank, is committed to reducing the gender gap in financial inclusion. Mobilink Bank and HF will organise cooperative events to find and turn potential prospects into business project plans while jointly leveraging their respective capacity-building programmes.

Both organizations are dedicated to forging partnerships that will ensure their growth and prosperity with a shared vision of empowering women and financial inclusion for MSMEs.
