An intergovernmental organisation called COMSATS (Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South) is dedicated to fostering scientific and technological cooperation among developing nations. Ethiopia has taken part in COMSATS actively and in a number of cooperative projects.

The goal of COMSATS is to promote collaboration in fields like biotechnology, information technology, energy, agriculture, and other branches of science and technology.

Ethiopia has had the chance to gain from the organization’s programmes, initiatives, and capacity-building efforts as a member of COMSATS.

Information and communication technology (ICT) is one of the main areas of collaboration between Ethiopia and COMSATS. In Ethiopia, COMSATS has supported ICT-related projects and initiatives by offering technical support, organising training courses, and promoting knowledge exchange among member nations.
