Webinar Held To Examine Impact Of AI On Education

Education is characterised by innovation, and two companies, zick Learn and imagi, will be joining the Tech.eu Summit in a few weeks. Edtech tools provide a wide spectrum of possibilities and creativity to create individualised lesson plans and learning experiences, which should stimulate and boost the learning capabilities of everyone.

The Tech.eu Summit in Brussels is highlighting 10 European edtech companies that are trying to improve the way we learn and work.

Dublin’s “text messages based training courses” provider zick learn and Stockholm-based zero-to-hero coding platform Imagi’s co-founder and CEO, Dora Palfi, will be joining us on stage at the Tech.eu Summit on May 24th.

Coding Giants – Poland

An innovative school called Coding Giants offers coding classes to kids and teenagers from the ages of 7 to 19 in over 120 physical locations as well as online in Poland and 14 other nations. Their age-appropriate classes are designed to be engaging and simple to understand.

Young people create their own games and applications while having a lot of fun thanks to the emphasis on imagination and logical thinking. The business received a funding round worth €3.5 million at the beginning of March 2023 for further growth.

Sharpist – Germany

Through 1:1 digital coaching and individualised learning programmes, Sharpist, a results-driven provider of digital coaching, aims to promote the growth of organisations and their workforces.

Sharpist’s content library, which includes thousands of focused resources from well-known organisations (like MIT’s Sloan School of Management and Harvard Business Review, as well as its network of 1,000+ certified international leadership coaches), supports individualised learning journeys. The company raised $23 million in Series A funding in February 2023 to support the European expansion.

Zick Learn – Ireland

A digital platform called Zick Learn develops and offers “text message-based training courses” to every chat client available.

The business received a pre-seed round from Zanichelli Venture in January 2023 with the intention of concentrating on bringing more functionalities to the MVP on the market. The following round (seed) is anticipated for late 2023. On May 24 at Brussels Expo, Matteo Penzo, the co-founder and CEO, will participate in a panel discussion.

OBRIZUM – UK

A fully adaptive, non-linear digital learning course can be automatically created, delivered, and monitored at scale using the patented and award-winning learning solution OBRIZUM.

The company’s main goal is to use artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse and curate adaptive and customised training programmes, bringing new efficiencies and greater agility to the creation, delivery, and measurement of digital learning. It also aims to assist large organisations in upskilling and retraining their staff. The business will have raised $11.5 million in a Series A funding round by the end of 2022.

MobieTrain – Belgium

The number one mobile microlearning app, MobieTrain, provides employees with daily, bite-sized content that increases productivity and knowledge retention.

By using personalised, gamified content that can be accessed from any location and on any mobile device, learning can once again become enjoyable. In order to increase its market dominance in microlearning in Europe, the company raised €9 million in their most recent Series B round in October 2022.

Imagi – Sweden

Another business that will attend Tech.eu Summit is Imagi. One of our panellists, Dora Palfi, their co-founder and CEO, will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing education in the age of rapid technological advancement.

Imagi is a Stockholm-based EdTech startup with a rapidly expanding global team that was founded by women. A zero-to-hero coding platform has been created to empower both teachers and students.

They provide innovative and interesting opportunities for everyone to learn coding in the classroom with their tools, which are created with a gender lens. Through entertaining wearable technology and mobile apps that teach Python and let girls connect over their shared interest in creative coding, the company hopes to pique the interest of pre-teens and teens.

The company has so far raised $454.3K in funding total over 5 rounds. The company received support from Morgan Stanley Multicultural Innovation Lab and Google for Startups in the last two rounds, which were held in June 2021 and September 2022, respectively.
