The Japanese government has received special thanks from Chairman PARC for starting a capacity-building program in Pakistan.

In Balochistan, a two-day seminar on the capacity development of agriculture extension services was held by JICA, API, and NARC.

Jointly executing the four-year project are the Department of Agriculture Extension Balochistan, JICA, API, and NARC. Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali, chairman of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, attended as the honored guest.

According to Dr. Ali, enhancing the skills of farmers and agriculturalists is essential for advancing the province’s agricultural development.

The Japanese government has received special thanks from Chairman PARC for starting a capacity-building program in Pakistan. According to Dr. Ali, the program to assist growers will ultimately aid in boosting the nation’s economy.

He continued by saying that we can increase the nation’s exports by increasing the production of fruits and vegetables in the Balochistan province. Furthermore The chairman claimed that scientists from PARC could deliver these courses in every province in the nation.

The people of Balochistan are grateful that JICA, the government of Japan, and the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council were able to organise these trainings, according to the DG of the Agriculture Research Initiative, Dr. Muhammad Qasim Kakar.

Mr. Abdul Karim, the director general of agriculture extension for Balochistan, also sent greetings to JICA and the Japanese government. It is not just the story of the last four years; Japan’s citizens have been assisting Pakistan for more than 70 years.

According to him, agriculture officers and field assistants must share newly acquired knowledge and administer monitored activities if we want to maintain the success of this project. He emphasized the need to improve Balochistan’s research infrastructure.

The trainees said that the Seminar on agriculture extension services was very educational and that it was a great experience. It was very educational and sharpened our skills.

The difficulties in Balochistan‘s agricultural sector were highlighted by Mr. Chingez, the Field Assistant. He stated that the training was very beneficial because it will aid in closing the province’s knowledge gap in the agriculture sector.
