Engineering Capstone Expo Held At Pak China Friendship Centre

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) hosted a one-day Engineering Capstone Expo at the Pak-China Friendship Center, where institutions from across the country displayed their products, according to a press release.

Engineering Capstone Expo is a series of competitions held by the Pakistan Engineering Council among engineering students from public and private universities throughout Pakistan to showcase their research skills, technologies, and Final Year Design Projects (FYDPs), which focus on industrial solutions and societal problems.

The National University of Technology (NUTECH) delegation, led by the dean, participated actively in this Expo.

NUTECH had a stall at the Expo, where 13 university capstone projects from the 2018 batch were displayed. These projects provide innovative engineering solutions to local industry problems.

At the Expo, PEC also awarded prizes to the best projects, and NUTECH received first place in the Computer Engineering & Allied Group for the Eyes for Humanity project and second place in the Electrical Engineering & Allied Group for the Design and Implementation of Brain-Controlled Electric Wheel Chair for Quadriplegic Persons project.

The audience actively visited the NUTECH stall and lauded NUTECH’s efforts and accomplishments in such a short period of time. NUTECH, the Expo’s youngest university, received high praise from the public and higher-ranking dignitaries.

An engineering capstone expo is an event where students in an engineering programme showcase the projects they have completed as part of their capstone course or program.

The capstone course is typically the final course or project in an engineering program and is designed to give students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their studies to a real-world problem or challenge.

During the expo, students present their projects to a panel of industry experts, faculty members, and other stakeholders and may also have the opportunity to interact with potential employers or other professionals in their field.

The expo is an opportunity for students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their studies, as well as their ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

An Engineering Capstone Expo usually showcases projects from various fields of engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, civil, computer science, and many more. It can be a great way for students to showcase their skills and get feedback on their projects, as well as to connect with potential employers and other professionals in their field.
