Police in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), have charged a man with double murder over a land dispute. He was once certified as the youngest Microsoft software engineer.

The Cantt Police Station in Qayyumabad has filed a First Information Report FIR against Babar Iqbal, who was dubbed a “genius cyber kid” after becoming the youngest Microsoft-Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in Dubai at the age of 12.

According to the complaint filed by Muhammad Sajid, his father Amanullah was working on construction at the residential plot when the suspect, Babar Iqbal, arrived and allegedly shot him.

“A case has been filed against Iqbal,” according to the police.

The deceased Amanullah worked for Mehboob and lived in the aforementioned plot, according to SHO Mohammad Salim.”The suspect fled with his mother and sister after committing the crime,” SHO Saleem added.

It is worth noting that Babar Iqbal was born on March 2, 1997, in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, and began computer programming at the age of five.

Babar Iqbal, the youngest Microsoft software engineer, set three world records: Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) at age 9, Youngest Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) at age 9, and Youngest Certified Web Professional Associate (CIWA) at age 10.

While in Dubai, he set a fourth record as the youngest Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) at the age of 12. On August 5, 2009, he was also recognized by then-President Asif Ali Zardari.

The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification is a professional certification for people who want to demonstrate their knowledge of a specific Microsoft technology.
