More than 8,700 Students Complete Training Through NFTP

More than 8,700 students have completed training through the National Freelance Training Program (NFTP), a joint initiative of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to provide honourable online employment to Pakistani youth.

NFTP graduates have earned more than $2.2 million in foreign exchange so far. This was revealed today at a progress review meeting presided over by PITB Chairman Syed Bilal Haider in Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP).

The meeting participants were informed that 20 training centres have been established across the country to provide unemployed youth with 3-month training in the fields of Technical Content Marketing, Advertising, and Creative Designing.

It is worth noting that the government of Pakistan has been offering discounts ranging from 70% to 100% on tuition. Admission to the programme requires a National Identity Card (CNIC), domicile in the respective province, and graduation qualification. The NFTP admits students between the ages of 18 and 40.

The PITB is involved in a range of initiatives and programs related to IT, including the development of IT infrastructure, the promotion of e-government services, and the development of IT-based solutions for various sectors.

The National Freelance Training Program (NFTP) is an ambitious programme aims to achieve long-term economic growth by empowering women, reducing inequality, achieving gender balance, and providing cutting-edge training. This, in turn, will aid in increased global representation, partnerships, and social upliftment of the nation’s underdeveloped regions.

Freelancing can be a great way for individuals to work on their own terms and to have the flexibility to choose the projects they work on. It can also be a good way for individuals to gain experience and build their skills in a particular field.

However, it’s important for freelancers to be aware of the potential challenges and considerations that come with working as a freelancer, such as the need to manage their own finances and marketing efforts.
