Gansu province companies signed eight cooperative and trade orders worth more than 73.2 million yuan ($10.6 million) at the 2022 Gansu Featured Agricultural Products International Matchmaking Sourcing Fair in Qingyang on Monday.

According to Wu Lixia, vice president of the Gansu Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the province has good natural conditions for developing its distinctive agriculture due to its rich and diverse climate types, abundant sunlight, clean soil, water resources, and air, as well as a large temperature differential.

According to Wu, the province has been a major producer of high-quality agricultural products in the country. She stated that her council plans to build a large platform to help local businesses expand their sales and promote Gansu’s overall economic growth in the coming years.

Qingyang’s deputy mayor, Xu Gang, stated that his city has a long and brilliant history of agricultural development, as well as unique agricultural production conditions for high-quality agricultural products.

“Green, high-quality, safe, and healthy agricultural products from Qingyang, such as apples, minor cereals, day lilies, mutton, and related products, have broad market prospects.”

“Qingyang is now constructing a modern ecological agricultural circular industry chain to aid in the promotion of sales and the development of its economy,” he said. The fair was organized both offline and online with two sub-venues in Indonesia and Nepal.
