Prime Minister Announces New COMSATS Campus In Khairpur

The Prime Minister has announced the establishment of a campus of COMSATS University in Khairpur. During a visit to Pir Guddu and Kot Diji in Khairpur district, the premier shared the good news.

The Prime Minister promised flood victims in Khairpur on Thursday that he would fund the construction of a COMSATS University campus as well as houses for those affected by the floods.

The Prime Minister stated that approximately Rs. 5 billion will be allocated to the construction of houses for flood victims and pledged that the government will make every effort to assist those affected by the floods.

He announced that the government will present the case of those affected by the floods, the  losses sustained, the devastation caused by the floods, and the effects of climate change.

The Premier was accompanied on this occasion by Chief Minister (CM) Sindh, Governor Sindh, Federal Planning Minister, and other distinguished guests. Prior to the Prime Minister’s address, Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), briefed him on the rehabilitation and relief efforts.

COMSATS University is a public research university in Pakistan that was established in 1998. COMSATS University has a network of campuses in different cities in Pakistan, including Lahore, Abbottabad, Attock, Sahiwal, and Vehari. In addition to its main campuses, the university also has an online education platform, known as the Virtual Campus, which allows students to take courses remotely.

COMSATS University is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, and its programs are accredited by various professional bodies in Pakistan and internationally.
