GDG-IBA Event Stresses To Empower Women In Technology Sector

The leaders stated that new technologies and govt support were needed to boost industrial development. They also stated that govt should do more to promote entrepreneurship.

Google Developers Group Kolachi, in collaboration with IBA, hosted an event at IBA City Campus Karachi that drew over 800 people, including students and professionals from 30 different universities. The speakers at the event stressed the need to empower women in industries and technology sectors so that they can contribute to the country’s economic development.

They added that true development and progress could only be achieved through women’s empowerment. The leaders stated that new technologies and government support were needed to boost industrial development. They also stated that the government should do more to promote entrepreneurship.

Several well-known companies, including Venture Dive, Dairah, TPS, 10 Pearls University, and Diya Interactive, sponsored the event. The event was held in collaboration with the IBA.

Several renowned speakers, including Jehan Ara, Head of Katalyst Labs, and Rayn Group’s CEO, Mo Adrius, shared their thoughts, stories, and experiences on a variety of topics. There were technical tracks with speakers like Ahmed Ayub and venture capitalists. The event focused on women’s empowerment, women in technology, the rise and fall of industries, leadership, entrepreneurship, and a variety of other topics.

These discussions, talks, and focus groups took the form of panel discussions, talks, and focus groups. There were various other topics in the form of speeches and talks by a wide range of individuals.

The programme was led by the team leaders, Hira Tariq and Harris Solangi. Azeem Abbas, Danella Patrick, Muniza Imran, Sajeel Ahmed Siddiqui, Umar Ahmad, Hassam Jawed, Syed Taha Ali, and Samima Khan were active core team members of Google Developers Group Kolachi.

The organization often holds events and activities that focus to empower women in technology sectors, as well as to encourage diversity and inclusivity in the field. By empowering women in technology, GDG-IBA hopes to help bridge the gender gap in the field and create a more diverse and inclusive tech community.
