Punjab Minister of Education, Dr Murad Ras held a press conference yesterday and announced the launch of the “Student Performance Assessment and Tracking System (SPETS)”. He indicated that the program will be used to evaluate students’ performance, and added that parents will be informed of their children’s updates, including health and sports performance.Punjab’s new online portal , The minister added that in the initial stage, students from sixth to tenth grades will be assessed using this program, and 500,000 student data have already been entered into the system.Moreover, he stated that only 176 schools out of 650 schools affected by the floods are currently closed. In the meantime, he added, a non-salary budget for government schools will be issued for the next 10 days.
