Dr Muhammed Ashraf, Chairman Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources awarded Newcastle University, United Kingdom highly commendable Alumni Impact Award to recognise his efforts to bring positive and lasting change in the society.

In recognition of the efforts of Dr Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources, Professor Chris Day Vice Chancellor and President of the Newcastle University, United Kingdom, awarded him highly commendable Alumni Impact Award 2022.

The efforts of Dr Ashraf is an outstanding example of his valuable contributions towards research in water resources and development not only in Pakistan but globally.

Talking with Technology Times, Dr Ashraf expressed, “I feel honored that one of the famous universities, my mother institution, University of Newcastle from Tyne UK has considered me for this award”. He dedicated this award to All Mighty Allah, and his dedicated team, without whose help he could not have received this award.

In an appreciation letter Professor Day wrote, “I have great pleasure in informing you that you have been awarded Highly Commended status in the Alumni Impact Award.”

The Vice-Chancellor and President, feels proud that the Newcastle University graduates carry the values of their
University with them into their lives and careers long after graduating.

This year the University is celebrating it’s two hundred and fifty thousand graduate. In previous years the University announced only one winner to be named in each of three categories, while this year the judges have decided to recognise a small number of additional nominations that are making a real difference to their local region, nationally and even globally.

The Alumi Impact Award recognises and celebrates the efforts of the many individuals in the alumni community of the University who are working to bring about positive and lasting change in the society.
