The Punjab Health Department will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UNAIDS soon for elimination of AIDS from the province.
This was informed by Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan in a meeting with a two-member delegation of UNAIDS including Country Head Yuki Tekemoto and Strategic Information Advisor Dr Rajwal Khan, here on Wednesday. The secretary gave a detail briefing to the delegation about the steps taken under the Punjab AIDS control programme and said that causes and data about AIDS were being reviewed. He said technical support for the audit of the AIDS programme would be received from the UNAIDS.
