The NSU Celebrates Parents Efforts on Parent’s Day as a symbol of respect and appreciation to the lifelong and selfless commitment of the parents. On this occasion students of NSU presented speeches, religious examples, and short documentary to express their gratitude for parents.

NSU Celebrates Parents Efforts and their Appreciation in Islamic Teaching

NSU students stressed on the particular versus of Holly Quran that
“And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word”. [Qur’aan 17:23]

Chief guest of the event, Mr. Shakeel, Head of Edhi Foundation, Islamabad shared his experiences at the Eidhi Old Age Homes. He became very emotional when he was discussing those children who abandon their parents in old age. He further said that parents are the blessing of Allah, they should be treated with kind as parents do to the kids in their childhood.
In the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, National Skills University Islamabad, while addressing recalled the efforts of his own parents. He gave the whole credit of his success to the prayers of his mother. moreover, that is good to NSU Celebrates Parents Efforts , He advised the students and staff to acknowledge the struggle of their parents by their words and acts of kindness. He announced to introduce the culture of meeting with parents residing in old age homes who are abandoned by some unfortunate children.
