The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has organised an awareness walk in connection with anti-dengue campaign on Murree Road here on Wednesday.

RDA Organises Dengue Awareness Walk

The walk was organised following the directions DG Rawalpindi Development Authority Capt (retd) Tahir Zafar Abbasi during which pamphlets were also distributed among the public to sensitise them about lethal dengue virus and its prevention. In addition, pamphlets about dengue awareness and prevention were distributed among the citizens on Murree Road Rawalpindi.

DG RDA Capt (retd) Tahir Zafar Abbasi has urged the citizens to take special care and priority measures for cleanliness and said that water should not be allowed to accumulate in the open spaces and corners of the house.

He directed the RDA officers and officials to take steps to prevent dengue spread in the office premises. The DG RDA on the occasion urged the citizens to take special care of cleanliness and said that stagnant water should be removed. He said, the administration was creating awareness among people about the danger of dengue and all possible preventive measures were being taken to cope with this disease. He said, RDA was working in collaboration with the Rawalpindi District Administration as well as District Health Department to combat with dengue.

The DG advised the general public to use mosquito repellent spray regularly. He also directed the staff to take all possible steps to prevent dengue in the office premises. Pamphlets about dengue awareness and prevention were also distributed among the citizens. Director Engineering, Aamir Rahsid, Deputy Director Finance RDA, Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti, other officers and employees attended the walk.
