The National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) opened admissions for its first Industry Driven/demanded IT skills certificate program. The Professional Programming Certificate being offered has been devised and developed in consultation with System Ltd, IT team experts. According to the NSU Vice Chancellor, teaching and training curricula based on industrial sectors’ current and future demands are badly needed to curb unemployment.
Notably, the National Skills University Islamabad is the first federally chartered public sector university in the skills development sector, having an Advisory Council comprising eminent industrialists of the country. System Ltd an IT company chief executive is a member of the NSU Advisory Council. This company has recently received several accolades, including the 2020/2021 Inner Circle Recognition for Microsoft Business Applications Award and Forbes Asia’s Best Under a Billion Award. Important to mention here is Muller & Phipps facilitated IT equipment for running this course.
The Professional Programming Certificate jointly offered by the NSU and System Ltd Industry will train IT savvy skilled human resources ready to be absorbed in the IT departments of companies inside the country and abroad. Importantly, besides strengthening participants’ theoretical foundation, the training provides an opportunity to gain practical knowledge in various domains, including E-commerce, PowerApps/Business Apps, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relations Management (CRM), and several other work productivity domains. Learners will have an opportunity to get specialized training in any of the above IT-based practical training based on their inclination and industrial need. The last date for application in this training certificate program is 20th December 2021. Online applications are encouraged at nsu.edu.pk/it followed with the submission of a hard copy. Scholarships are also available for bright needy youth unable to afford the fee.
